2009 46th ANNUAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RENO AIR RACES ARE SEPT. 16 - 20TH !!

Starting September 16th through the 20th, the 46th Annual Reno Air Races will take place. This years Sport Class has two Thunder Mustangs entered. John Parker is putting the finishing touches on "Blue II" - Race 352 and George Giboney returns with"Rapid Travel" - Race 75. George had a very good PRS this year, running strong with no problems in his super-charged Thunder Mustang. The race is on!

Rapid Travel will be hangared at American Air Racing next to Blue II.  Look for a number of Thunder Mustang's to be present and lots of food and drink on hand to celebrate Thunderstorm 2009 hosted annually by Jan and John Parker of American Air Racing.  As always, everyone is invited to stop by and visit the American Air Racing hangar and check out the Thunder Mustang.  The Blue Thunder Air Racing team will be on hand along with members of the Thunder Builders Group to answer your questions.

Thunder Mustang Assets For Sale          The Thunder Mustang is not currently in production. Papa51 Co. Ltd., the original manufacturer of the Thunder Mustang is no longer in business. The Thunder Builders Group L.L.C. acquired the assets required to manufacture the Thunder Mustang through foreclosure on a loan. We have posted these assets for sale. Discussions are ongoing with several interested parties but at this time we have not finalized an agreement that will see this incredible aircraft back in production. The TBG is focused on finding the right mix of passion and money to make this happen. Inquiries should be directed to inquire@thundermustang.com .

The Thunder Mustang is not currently being manufactured. The most recent kit price was $285,000 USD when it was in production. That price included the engine and prop.
